In this view you can see how the antenna is supported by the gin pole while I start to maneuver it into position to drop onto the mast. The gin pole rope is being held by assistants on the roof of the house. A second rope off the right side of the boom is used by other assistants to help steady the antenna. At this point I have belted myself to the mast and am standing on the tower's top plate, an admittedly dangerous maneuver. The KT34A antenna weighs only 45 pounds, so it is not difficult to lift it over my head and drop it onto the mast.
